The Nurse Residency Programs – The Christ Hospital is  accepting applications and packets for the 2013 summer and fall programs!!!!! 

The deadline for submission is March 15, 2013.

This program, offered at The Christ Hospital, is designed to prepare graduate R.N.s to function competently and confidently in critical care units.  You will have the opportunity to practice clinical skills, sharpen your nursing judgment, care for several diverse patient populations, improve your communication skills,  and gain an appreciation for the special interaction between critically-ill patients and their families.

 

Requirements
You must have less than six months nursing experience or be a new graduate to enter this program and have a preferrable minimum GPA of 3.0.
You must obtain RN liscensure from the state of Ohio within 45 days from date of graduation.

To apply for the Summer 2013 CCRNP, follow these steps:

  • Complete an application by clicking on the “Employment” link at the top of this page and searching for “Critical Care NR July 13″ in the “R.N.” section.
  • Submit a completed Critical Care Nurse Residency packet to The Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219, Attention Elisabeth Timmerman, Human Resources Department postmarked NO LATER than Friday March 15, 2013.

This packet should consist of the following:   (NOTE: this are revised forms.  Only the new forms will be accepted.)

  • Personal Data Form – to be completed by the applicant
  • Critical Care Nurse Residency Student Reference – to be completed by two instructors and submitted in your packet in a sealed envelope which you should not open. A critical care instructor should complete the form if the clinical course was available through your program. If not, obtain references from two clinical instructors of your choice. Evaluations from preceptors do not qualify as instructors.
  • Your official school transcriptif graduated, transcript must reflect all coursework

***Your application is not considered complete until you have 1) submitted an online application with resume and all work experience and 2) have completed and mailed a Critical Care Nurse Residency Program packet to The Christ Hospital’s Human Resources department, as described above. Due to the limited time frame for reviewing and interviewing applicants, there will be no exceptions made to the above process. If a packet is not complete or is not postmarked by March 15, 2013, an applicant will not be considered for the program.
