Your privacy is critically important to us. At NurseResidencyPrograms.Com we have a few fundamental principles:
- We will not ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
- We will not share your personal information with anyone (other than our sponsoring organizations) except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We will not store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
It is NurseResidencyPrograms.Com’s (NRP) policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.
Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our websites. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our sites, including our blogs. We only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to NRP’s websites choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who wish to add or edit listings, join the site as a member, and/or comment on posts or pages to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with NRP and its affiliates – access or subscriptions to our services, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with NRP. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
We may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. We may display this information publicly or provide it to others, including organizations that co-sponsor NRP websites or with which NRP is affiliated. However, we do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
NRP discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on NRP’s behalf or to provide services available at NRP’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using our websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone other than NRP or its site co-sponors. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, we disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of NRP, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an NRP website and have supplied your email address, we may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with NRP and our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it. NRP takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
