Begin where you are needed.
The Nurse Residency Directory is an independent directory of 1,213 nurse residency programs across 49 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and 10 more countries — searchable by specialty, location, length, and accreditation. Sourced from public accreditation registries and the programs' own pages. Always free for the nurses who carry us.
When residencies begin.
If you graduate in May, the summer intake is the biggest target — but applications for it typically close two to three months prior. Each program sets its own dates, so always confirm on the program's official page. Chart is illustrative of typical seasons, not a live count.

Search & filter
Narrow 1,213 programs by specialty, location, program length, care setting, and accreditation. Your filters are sharable as a URL — bookmark them, send them to a friend.
Review the details
Each program page shows what we can verify from public sources — accreditation, specialties offered, care setting, and program length — with a direct link back to the program's own page. Read our guide to choosing →
Apply directly
We link out to the program's own site — never through a middleman, never into a resume database, never a spam list. For most listings that link is the hospital's nursing-careers page, because that is where the residency application actually lives and it is the link least likely to rot. Where a link has stopped resolving, we say so on the listing and give you a search that finds the current page instead.
